中间

between：两者中间

• He is sitting between me and my friend.

among： 多者的中间

• He is sitting among the kids. 我坐在一群孩子的中间

in the middle of : 正中间

• I’m in the middle of the work. 我正在忙着工作
• Tom stands in the middle of the room. 站在房间的中央

穿过

across: 表面横穿

• He swam across the river. 游过了河
• Nobody lives across the river. 河对面没人住

throught: 内部穿过

• The water run through the pipe. 河流过了管道
• The bullet ran through his body. 子弹穿过了他的身体
• Going through the door, you can see the toilet. 穿过这扇门，你就能看到卫生间了
• The sand is through from my finger. 沙子从我的指缝里流下。

over：上方穿过

• The bird flew over the river. 小鸟飞过河流（从上方飞过）

past/by: 旁边经过

• He walked past me and said nothing. 他从我身边走过，什么都没说。
• She drove by the playground without stopping. 他开车经过操场，没有停下来。

代替

instead of/ instead：

• He stayed at home, instead of going out. 他没出门而是呆在家里（介词）
• He didn’t go out, he stayed at home instead. 他没出门，而是在家呆着 (副词）

根据

according to：

• she failed according to the look on her face.
• He don’t know this thing accordding his reaction.

based on 基于xxx理论/数据，

• based on her look,she failed. 从她的表情来看，她失败了
• based on the plan , I will learn English well in another month. 按照计划，我再有一个月学好英语。

  in并不强调xxx以内，就是指一个月，within才强调xxx之内

除外

besides: 除了什么还有什么（包括）

• I didn’t choose this job for other reasons besides money. 我没有选择这份工作除了钱还有其它原因。

except:除什么之外（不包括）

• I like all chinese food except spicy food. 除了辛辣食物，我喜欢所有中国食物。
• We can do nothing except to wait. 除了等我们什么都做不了。

  这里的 to 也可以省略.

在…之前

ahead of: 相比于before，可以表示地点、时间、能力等在xxx之前

• He got there one hour ahead of me.（时间）
• He was one meter ahead of me. （地点）
• He is ahead of me at English. (能力）
• There is a lot of work ahead of me.在我面前有很多工作

至于/由于/多亏

as for: 至于

• As for this thing, leave it alone. 至于这件事，你就不用管了

由于

• He came here late due to the heavy traffic.他由于交通拥堵来晚了
• He can’t come owing to his illness/sickness. 他由于生病不能来。
• The mistake due to his carelessness has been corrected. 由于他粗心导致的错误已经被修正了。
• His death was as a result of an accident 他的死是由于意外
• His failure was on account of lack of experiences 他的失败是由于缺乏经验
• She stayed home because of her illness… 她呆在家里是由于她不舒服。
• they completed the task through teamwork. 他通过团队合作完成了任务

by: 因

• They met on the street by accident 他们意外在路上遇见
• I took a wrong bag by mistake. 因为失误我拿错了包
• They will attend conference by chance 他们有机会参加研讨会

thanks to xxx : 多亏

• thanks to you, we succeeded. 多亏了你，我们成功了。
• thanks to his warning/notice , we avoided the accident. 多亏他的警告，我们避免了事故。
• thanks to you , I will never see him again. 多亏了你，我再也不到他了。

对于/关于

for/at：对于

• I‘m sorry for your loss. 对于你的损失，我感到很抱歉。（原因）
• He is surprised at the thing. 他对这件事感到很惊讶

from/of：于

• He died from a car accident. 他死于一场车祸
• he died of bleed too much. 他死于失血过多
• He died of heart disease: 他死于心脏病

  from表示死于外因，of表示死于内因，

out of /with：出于

• he jumped up with excitment. 他激动的跳了起来

  与情绪有关用with

• he opened the door out of curiousity. 他出于好奇打开了门
• he asked himoutof disire of knowledge. 他出于对知识的求知欲问了他

of / about / on: 关于

• we talked about his boss. 我们聊了他的老板
• we talked of this boss. 他提到了这个老板
• this is a book on chinese. （on: 专业方面的关于）

像

like： 表示像时是介词，表示喜欢时是动词。

• He fell asleep like a baby. 他像一个孩子一样睡着了。
• He took my bag like it was his. 他拿走了包就像那是他的一样
• It’s like that he will never come back. 好像他再也不会回来了。
• It’s not like that I will never come back. 我又不是不回来了。

作为/像

• We treat him as a friend. 我们把他当朋友
• In return for helping me, I told him the truth. 作为帮助我的回报，我告诉了他真相。
• In exchange, I received a heartfelt thank-you note. 作为回报，我收到了一封由衷的感谢信
• I gave him 100$ In reward. 我给了他100元作为报答。
